Aluminium Honeycomb is a lightweight core material offering excellent strength and corrosion resistance for industrial applications at low cost. The core is manufactured from aluminium alloy foil, which is available in a number of different grades.
Aluminium Honeycomb panels can be used for a myriad of applications including walls, ceilings, floors, shelving, counter tops, platforms and many more. Clean room applications span all classes of environmental cleanliness – from dust free semi-conductor to microbe free pharmaceutical.
The Aluminium Honeycomb core is made up of a sheet of hexagonal cells bonded to the panels outer facing. The aluminium core is available in cell sizes of 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 inch cells. Aluminium Honeycomb is a non combustible and moisture resisting material and can be used in panel format to temperatures of 120°C. In contrast to Mineral Fibre and foam cores, there is no risk of fibre or dust contamination.
